Shock and sadness shake the Matanzas community after the discovery was confirmed this Wednesday of the lifeless body of the 8-year-old boy who had disappeared last Saturday, April 5, at Villa Los Pinos beach, located in Boca de Camarioca, Matanzas province.
The minor, originally from the municipality of Limonar, was found on the beach near 54th Street in Varadero after more than 72 hours of intense searching. The rescue operation involved specialized rescue teams, coast guard personnel, local fishermen, and numerous neighbors who voluntarily joined the efforts to locate the child.
