Ferry Perseverancia will resume trips on alternate days starting on Monday, December 2.

The National Directorate of the Reservation Services Company VIAJERO reported the commercial procedures related to the ferry Perseverancia, which will resume navigation between Nueva Gerona and Batabanó starting this Monday, December 2. According to Minister Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, departures will take place on alternate days, as long as hydrometeorological conditions allow.

Procedures in Nueva Gerona

The following cases will be prioritized:

  • Passengers with international tickets.
  • People with social or medical emergencies.
  • Travelers with connections to other provinces, whose tickets may expire. This includes bus and train connections scheduled for the night of Monday the 2nd, Tuesday the 3rd, and the morning of Wednesday the 4th.
  • Passengers for November 21 and 23.

The commercial area of VIAJERO has already managed the delayed tickets up to the 21st. Those who could not travel will be able to request a full refund of the ticket price.

Schedules in Nueva Gerona:

  • The buses to Batabanó will depart from the towns at 2:00 a.m.

In Havana, passengers stranded with tickets for November 25, 27, and 29 will be assisted.

Schedules in Havana:

  • Check-in from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m.
  • Departure to the Isle of Youth at 4:00 p.m.

Waiting lists and luggage

Passengers on waiting lists will be attended to at the Agency on 26 and Zoológico, according to availability. In Batabanó, residents of the province of Mayabeque will be given priority.

The Last Minute Agency on the Island does not yet schedule waiting lists. In addition, the shipping company VIAMAR reports that excess luggage will not be allowed.
