The Spanish company Air Europa will increase its flights to Havana and will operate daily to the "José Martí" International Airport in the Cuban capital from Madrid-Barajas.
Air Europa announced an increase in its flights to Havana starting next summer, reinforcing its presence in Cuba and strengthening the connection between Madrid and the Cuban capital. With this adjustment in its schedule, the airline will operate a daily flight between both destinations.
More flights to Havana from Madrid
Until now, Air Europa flew to Havana six times a week, leaving Sundays without service. However, starting in June, the airline will offer daily flights, ensuring greater availability for travelers between Cuba and Spain.
The José Martí International Airport, through its official channel on Telegram, confirmed that Air Europa currently operates one flight daily, except on Sundays. With the new summer schedule, the airline will maintain an uninterrupted frequency.
Air Europa Expansion in America
The increase in flights to Havana is part of Air Europa's expansion plan for its transatlantic routes. In addition to Cuba, the airline will increase its offerings in:
- Medellín (Colombia)
- Asunción (Paraguay)
- Panama
- New York (USA)
These destinations will also have daily flights, strengthening the airline's network in Latin America and the United States.
More seats and renewed fleet
The expansion of Air Europa not only involves more flights but also an increase in passenger transport capacity. In 2025, the airline will offer 3.5 million seats on its long-haul routes, surpassing the capacity of 2024.
It is expected to transport this year 3.3 million passengers, with an occupancy rate above 84. In addition, to improve the flight experience and optimize operational efficiency, the company will incorporate three new Boeing 787 Dreamliner airplanes.
With this growth, Air Europa establishes itself as one of the main options for travelers seeking direct flights between Cuba and Spain, as well as connections to other key destinations in America.
Hello, good morning, that is very good, they should have at least once a week from Tenerife to Havana or Villa Clara since many travelers move from the islands to the island of Cuba. Thank you
What is it then, don't they say that the airlines are leaving!
