Mexican Consulate in Cuba informs on services of almost 4 thousand visas on the island

Authorities of the Mexican Consulate in Havana, Cuba, informed through official channels about their services on the island, such as scheduled visas, legalization of documents for studies in the Aztec country, as well as passport processing, among other procedures at their diplomatic headquarters in the capital of the island.

According to the information replicated on the social network X, the Mexican Consulate in the capital announced that by early April, they had processed nearly 4,000 scheduled visas, 13 Mexican passport applications, seven registrations of births of Mexican children on the island, and over 600 document legalizations, almost all of them for studies, to take effect at Mexican universities.

Regarding the defendant visa process, they reported that in total, in March of this year they processed 3697 visas, many of them for study, and 675 legalizations, for a total of 4374 services at the diplomatic headquarters on 18th Street #507, between 5th and 7th, Miramar, Playa.

As usual, the headquarters reiterated that the solicitud de visas en el Consulado de México en La Habana, Cuba, es gratuito y no deben tramitarse a través de terceros, que cobran a altos precios el trámite. Algo que se reitera en cada Embajada y como denunciaron varios afectados, muchas veces esas «compra-ventas» de servicios, se realizan por los propios trabajadores.

La sede también pone a disposición una línea de emergencia para mexicanos(as): 5352869620. Recuerdan que el único medio para programar citas de trámites de visas es a través del sitio https://citascuba.sre.gob.mx/ La plataforma de citas es operada por las oficinas centrales de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores.

¿Qué cubanos no necesitan visado para entrar en México, según el Consulado en Cuba?

According to the mentioned headquarters on its official website, if you are Cuban but also have citizenship or permanent residency in the following countries, you do not need a visa to enter Mexico for tourism, business, or airport transit activities.

What countries are they? Well Canadá, Estados Unidos de América, Japón, Reino Unido de la Gran Bretaña e Irlanda del Norte, o cualquiera de los países del espacio Schengen. Los individuos bajo este supuesto deben presentar sus documentos de residencia junto con sus pasaportes al momento de solicitar su ingreso a México. Ambos documentos deben estar vigentes durante su estancia en México.

Tampoco se requiere visa con los siguientes supuestos, siendo ciudadano cubano. Si usted cuenta con una visa válida y vigente multiple entries from Canada, United States of America, Japan, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or any country belonging to the Schengen area.

From Mexico to Cuba there are currently numerous air connections from several cities, beyond Mexico City, with flights from airlines such as Aeromexico, Viva Aerobús, and Magnicharters, among others.
