This Friday, September 27th around 9:30 AM, the Mexitel system will be enabled for appointment scheduling at the Mexican embassy in Cuba.
Due to the large number of questions and concerns from our users, we offer some tips to keep in mind when scheduling your appointment.
- Knowing what type of visa you expect to obtain. There are different types of visas, so we recommend that you gather information before filling out your application. Usually, the most common is a visitor visa without NUT permission.
- Do not fill out your application if you have at least $1,600 in a bank account that has been open for more than six months. Don't waste time and money if your chances of approval are almost zero.
- We suggest that those interested access the Mexitel service from a Wifi network or the Nauta Hogar system if they are in Cuba, or ask a friend or family member to do so from abroad. It is practically impossible to get an appointment using mobile data.
- I recommend that everyone interested first undergo training on entering and registering the data required by the system. It is important to familiarize themselves with Mexitel so that when the system opens, they are more skilled at entering their data.
- It can be practiced while the system is disabled. Of course, they won't be able to schedule their appointment, but they will perform the 90% of the procedure, and therefore they will be much more familiar.
- We also recommend practicing the captcha part of the system, as it is one of the steps that can cause the most delays and setbacks.
- When Mexitel is enabled, have the email you registered with open on your device. If you manage to fill out the appointment form, go to your email and refresh it constantly (F5); never wait for it to arrive automatically, as it may take longer. Remember that the appointment is confirmed once you give your confirmation from the email.
- Do not start filling out your application before the system is enabled. It's pointless and you will only waste time. The only effective way to get an appointment is by filling out the form once the system is open.
- If the almost full form causes the page to close or stay blank, do not fill out the form again because that will never help you get an appointment. The safest procedure is to log out and log back into the system using your username and password.
- Ideally, you should fill in your details from a desktop PC or a laptop, as the phone, no matter how familiar we are with it, makes the filling process and navigation within the system more difficult.
