At this time, delays are reported in the delivery of the regulated family basket in Villa Clara, Camagüey, and other provinces.

Several Cuban provinces continue to face delays in the distribution of regulated products corresponding to the first months of the year. Although progress is being made in some areas, the process remains incomplete in many municipalities, according to the latest update from MINCIN.

Pending in Camagüey warehouses

In Camagüey, there are still 60 stores that have not received the 14 pounds of food corresponding to January and February.

The municipalities of Céspedes, Guáimaro, Sibanicú, Florida, and Vertientes are still in the distribution process, according to Jorge Luis Calvaire Hernández, Sales Director of Merchandise of the Business Group of Commerce in the province.

The delivery of peas began gradually, with an allocation of 10 ounces per month between January and May.

In Sierra de Cubitas it is already being distributed, while Guáimaro and Santa Cruz del Sur completed the delivery by February.

Other products in distribution

The applesauce is also being distributed, although partially in Esmeralda, Sierra de Cubitas, and Sibanicú. As for the salt, the delivery for January and February has already been completed throughout the province. For March, distribution began in Esmeralda.

The oil began to arrive in some areas of the main municipality, such as Previsora, Puerto Príncipe, Vista Hermosa, Mella, Modelo Imán, and Juruquey Bella Vista. Meanwhile, the cleaning service corresponding to January and February has already been delivered, but the distribution for March and April has not yet started.

Situation in Villa Clara and Las Tunas

In Villa Clara, 157 warehouses in Ranchuelo, Santa Clara, Sagua la Grande, Placetas, Remedios, and Manicaragua have already received part of their quota. However, the authorities acknowledge that the logistics are complex. The supply arrives from the port of Cienfuegos and must pass through wholesale warehouses before reaching retail units.

By Monday, only 328.2 tons of rice had been received, compared to the 2065.3 tons required to meet the monthly demand. At the same time, oil is being distributed, two pounds of sugar per consumer, 20 ounces of peas corresponding to March and April, and four packs of cigarettes for adults.

Advances in Las Tunas

In Las Tunas, almost all the pounds of rice from January and part of February are already in the warehouses, with the exception of Majibacoa. Since last week, the distribution of the remaining rice from February has begun. The unloading of the ship that brought the product has already finished, and 900 tons remain to be transported from the port warehouses.

Today, some municipalities will begin completing the first round, with the intention of closing the pending distribution cycle as soon as possible.

    • Good evening, very concerning regarding the distribution of milk for children with chronic illnesses considering that they are patients with a very limited life expectancy.
The parents of these patients would appreciate information being provided through the appropriate channels.
      Thank you very much.

  1. Please, how long are you going to keep up with the lies? Don’t you realize that the people are already tired of the same thing? It’s a mockery on your part. GROW UP.

  2. The truth about all this manipulation of words, which are more uncertain than true because the truth is not that, is that as a people, the leadership of this country does not care about us. And for that, they allowed the sale of so many VIP products. There isn't enough to buy food for the people. But they do have money for their luxuries.

  3. Good evening, likewise I almost say the same about some comments already posted here, but here in Pinar del Río they don’t give even half of what I see given here in many provinces. I join many good comments and some bad ones too, I support them because they have many truths that happen and in the end are not resolved, and they feed us many lies through social media and television and no one does anything for this people…

  4. The best thing they could do is take away all the little they give and let us die honorably of hunger because we live in a society where you can't even speak. Don't worry anymore, just leave us as we are.

    • It happened to us and the response from the winemaker was that according to hygiene and epidemiology, they were too high for human consumption.

  5. In the municipality of Cruces, province of Cienfuegos, the cigars corresponding to the month of December, due to an alleged office error, did not fully reach some warehouses, leaving more than half of the consumers pending because they ran out, and to date no one has responded to this situation. It is worth noting that in some warehouses where this incident occurred, more than 200 households were left pending. How can this event be possible?

  6. What is happening with the PAN??? It was said that the ship entered through Havana, the wheat, and now in this month of March here in Holguín, you can count the days that bread has been brought to the population.?
Tell the truth. That the product will be little by little and not daily. And that it is not enough for the whole country nor for the whole month.
And where is the sugar?? Here at the military airport, Pedernales people's council, they still haven't brought ANYTHING****.
(And about something so important and delicate, which perhaps does not concern the MINCIN: What does the Central Government say about liquefied gas?? They do not inform ANYTHING, yet information comes out on TV, radio, and press, which the people are not interested in… gentlemen!!! The people want the truth, what the people care about are these things. This is what should be given on the Round Table. The rest, the people neither listen to nor see, not to mention the blackouts.)

  7. What they say on Television is very different from what actually happens in the arena. Few things, if any, are true.
The oversight is poor or nonexistent, because sometimes goods arrive at the warehouses and by magic, they expire, and when the consumer goes, they no longer exist, the term has expired.
    I ask…….
And commerce has terms in these circumstances in which we are living to place the poor and almost nonexistent basic basket……It really does not have it.
And then why the wineries sell the products, that has only one meaning.
Just like that, many things happen in the Commerce Sector.
And report whom and for what, if nothing happens.
And I have many reasons to express myself this way,
Commerce and other sectors are immersed in so many problems, where administrative inefficiency is evident, affecting services and logically the people, who are the last link in the chain and the ones who pay and suffer the consequences.

  8. It is a mockery to keep calling basic basket what the state continues to deliver to the population every month, call it sustenance, aid, etc., but basket does not seem appropriate to me.

  9. Can someone explain why some stores in the Popular Council 6 of San Miguel del Padrón did not provide the two packages of spaghetti and one bag of sugar that were distributed for free more than a month ago in the same locality, and no one knows anything about it?

  10. Sorry, but in the province of Sanct Spiritus, the cleaning service for January and February has not been received, but the rice, salt, and peas have.

  11. We must be very sensitive when announcing the delivery of food to the people, because from experience, many times it is reported, but in reality it is different. For example: the distribution of flour was announced on TV as guaranteed for the month of March, but here in the municipality of Cacocum, it is completely different.
