The price of the dollar in the Cuban informal market rises again against the Cuban peso, according to reports. The US currency has continued to rise over the past week, just as the government is also talking about taking initiatives to regain control of the foreign exchange market on the island.
On the other hand, the euro also shows signs of pressure, and the Canadian dollar experiences another slight increase. The MLC remains anchored at the value of recent days.
The dollar keeps rising and uncertainty persists
The rise of the dollar consolidates for the third consecutive day. Although the variations seem small, they reflect a trend that worries those who depend on this market to acquire foreign currency. The lack of official supply and the growing demand push the values upward.
The Cuban peso continues to weaken against all strong currencies, while domestic inflation and low wages make it more difficult to access foreign currency in the informal market.
