Today, thousands of immigrants in the United States woke up to good news, the suspension by a Democratic judge of the revocation of humanitarian parole, which the Trump administration had adopted weeks earlier.
However, despite being good news, this should not lead to too much triumphalism, according to migration experts. One of them explained that "it is only a temporary judicial suspension," and therefore argues that "it is by no means a definitive solution."
In other words, the judge's ruling can be overturned at any time. It's a legal pause, not a guarantee. And it's very likely, or almost certain, that the White House will attribute the decision.
