The calendar TV series will have a second season

Fans of the Cuban series "Calendario" will be able to enjoy a second season of this youth drama, which the channel Cubavisión broadcasts every Sunday once the usual National News program ends, according to the newspaper Granma.
Durante el confinamiento pandémico fueron grabados los actuales 15 capítulos de 45 minutos cada uno de esta teleserie; en que la joven profesora Amalia (Clarita García) lidia con los conflictos de sus alumnos de noveno grado, una vez que decidió regresar a la escuela donde ella misma hizo sus estudios de Secundaria Básica (como se le conoce en Cuba).

Este dramatizado narra las problemáticas, motivaciones y circunstancias de un grupo de adolescentes muy bien caracterizados en sus contextos comunes, como pueden resultar las aulas y sus respectivos hogares.

Nació de la pluma de Amílcar Salatti, cuya obra ya se caracterizaba por el abordaje de temáticas contemporáneas; y es dirigida por la destacada cineasta Magda González Grau, quien declaró a ese medio oficial:

There will be a second season. When the television network saw the result of the first episodes, they decided we were going to the second, and that's what we're working on. We want to start filming in March. With the team I have, I believe I can achieve everything.

Calendario is an independent production, the first recorded under the legal opportunity currently offered in the country by Decree-Law 373 for independent audiovisual and film creators.

So far, the production team has not given any previews to the national media about the locations; characters or new plots and subplots of the popular television show, which so far has been a great success on Cuba's small screens precisely because it reflects the daily life of its youth, and families in general.
