Airline TUI updates the dates for its probable resumption of flights to Cuba

The giant of tourist flights, the airline TUI, has published a new update on the probable restart dates of its flights to Cuba, after they were canceled following the inclusion of the island on the UK’s red list due to the health situation.

While some flights have been able to resume amid the government's latest review of travel restrictions, the flight operator says it will continue to review its full schedule in accordance with updates from Great Britain. It has also confirmed its stance that it will not carry any customers to "red list" destinations or those that require quarantine upon arrival.

In the new updates, it says that flights and vacations to various places, including Italy, Egypt, and the Maldives, were canceled in August, September, and some even until October "due to uncertainty surrounding travel.

Tui confirmed in this way that at least until September 4, the destinations of Cuba, Cape Verde, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Tunisia, Canada, Kenya, Seychelles, and Trinidad and Tobago were excluded from their itineraries.

Shortly before midnight on July 15th, the TOM134 flight from Manchester to Varadero was canceled. Customers were then given the option of a full cash refund or to change their booking to an alternative holiday departing for Cuba on a later date. All this because Great Britain banned tourist travel to the island due to its health situation. Cuba officially joined this nation's red list as of July 19th.
