CARIBE and Richmeat stores sign a new agreement for the sale of meats in Cuba

 

The Cuban state company Tiendas CARIBE and the Mexican company Richmeat sign a new agreement to expand the marketing and sale of meat products in Cuba from this date.

CARIBE stores and the Mexican company Richmeat finalized an important International Economic Partnership Agreement that will come into effect in 2025. This agreement, the second of its kind for Tiendas CARIBE, will strengthen a collaboration strategic initiative launched in 2018, with the aim of strengthening the offer of meat products and meats in Cuba.

For over eight years, Richmeat maintains a stable presence on the network of CARIBE Stores, ensuring the supply of meat during the most critical moments, such as during the pandemic, said the official media. Cubadebate

Now, with this new agreement, the Mexican company will take over the management and marketing of the commercial complex "Tienda de Productos Cárnicos: La Favorita," a key sales point for the Cuban market, they added.

This project includes both the retail as a wholesale of meat products in a physical and digital format, starting with a store in Havana and expanding to three more establishments in the first phase.

In the future, coverage is expected to be expanded to other provinces of the country.

Caribbean Stores and the sale of meats in Cuba

The signing ceremony of the Tiendas Caribe agreement for the expansion of meat sales in Cuba was attended by Ana María Ortega Tamayo, general director of CARIBE Stores, along with representatives from the areas of Marketing, Purchasing, Economy, and Legal Advisory.

On behalf of Richmeat, were Luis Alberto González Hernández, president, and Alejandra Chapela Díaz, vice president, accompanied by other company executives.

Richmeat, the first foreign company approved in the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM), stands out in the Cuban market with iconic products such as the Picadillo and "La Favorita" sausages.

Additionally, 99% of its workforce is made up of Cuban workers, which reinforces its commitment to job creation and local economic development on the island.

With this trade agreement, CARIBE Stores and Richmeat aim to ensure a stable and diversified supply of meat foods in Cuba, strengthening the distribution chain and improving consumers' access to essential products.

This alliance of Tiendas Caribe for the sale of meats in Cuba also aims to promote e-commerce and the modernization of the retail and wholesale sector on the island.

  1. Esta «asociacion» es otra muestra de discriminacion y odio del regimen contra los cubanos de a pie. Ese «negocio» lo pueden hacer cubanos, por que no se lo permiten? Porque el regimen no quiere que los cubanos sean empresarios y mucho menos hacer dinero. Son unos miserables anticubanos.
