Trump says yes to $$5000 stimulus checks in the U.S.

Trump says he is ready to send $$5,000 stimulus checks to thousands of Americans: who will be eligible to receive them and when they will arrive.

President Donald Trump has confirmed the delivery of $5,000 stimulus checks as part of the DOGE Dividend.

A program that will return 20% of the savings generated by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to taxpayers.

This plan, unofficially led by Elon Musk, aims to reduce government spending and give money back to U.S. citizens.

During an event in Miami, Trump assured that his administration is ready to distribute these checks to millions of households in the coming months.

"We are returning the money to those who deserve it - American workers," the president said.

According to official estimates, about 78 million households will be eligible to receive this benefit.

The DOGE program, which has cut thousands of federal jobs and eliminated unnecessary spending, has already generated billions in savings.

Of this amount, 20% will be used for these $5,000 checks, while another 20% will be used to reduce the national debt.

"This is an unprecedented move that will strengthen the economy and reward the citizens who sustain the country," said James Fishback, CEO of Azoria and creator of the DOGE Dividend concept.

According to the White House, the checks would be sent after July 2026, when the goal of $2 trillion in savings is reached.

Although Congress has the final say in approving the payments, the Trump administration is optimistic about their implementation. "The money belongs to the people, and it's only fair that they get it," Elon Musk said in a recent interview.

What is missing for the checks to become a reality?

Despite the official announcement, Congress has yet to approve the distribution of the funds, which has generated debate among legislators.

Some Republicans have expressed doubts, arguing that the money could be better spent on deficit reduction. However, the White House is confident that popular support will boost the measure.

Who will be eligible to receive the $5,000?

If the previous stimulus structure is maintained, the beneficiaries will be:

  • U.S. taxpayers who have filed their tax return within the last two years.
  • Persons receiving Social Security or veterans' benefits.
  • Working families who qualify under the established income criteria.

What do experts say about the economic impact?

Some economists warn that the measure could increase inflation, while others believe that returning money to taxpayers will stimulate the economy without generating long-term negative effects.

For now, millions of Americans are anxiously awaiting more details about the delivery of the checks, which could become one of the Trump administration's biggest economic stimuli.
